23-year-old Swedish defenseman Stefan Warg will become a member of Skellefteå AIK today according to newspaper Nerikes Allehanda. Warg has played for Norfolk Admirals (AHL) and Utah Grizzlies (ECHL), in the Anaheim Ducks organization this season. However he hasn’t been close to get any ice time with the Ducks in the NHL so he will now move back to Sweden.
Warg is a right-shooting defenseman, who plays a physical style. This season he has played 21 games in the AHL and collected 1 assist. He was originally drafted by the Ducks in 2008, when he got picked in the 5th round as 143rd overall.
