NHL Draft 2014

The NHL Draft 2014 will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, June 27-28 2014. It is the 52nd NHL Draft in history. Here you can find out all the traded picks for each round. Has your team already traded a couple of picks?

First round:

  • The New Jersey Devils will forfeit their first round pick as a sanction on the cap circumvention on the Ilya Kovalchuk signing. They kept their picks in the first round for the 2011, 2012 and 2013 draft
  • The Ottawa Senators pick will go to the Anaheim Ducks as part of the Bobby Ryan trade

Second Round

  • The Los Angeles Kings pick will go to the Buffalo Sabres as part of the Robyn Regher trade
  • The Minnesota Wild’s pick will go to the Buffalo Sabres as part of the Jason Pominville trade
  • The Pittsburgh Penguins pick will go to the San Jose Sharks as part of the Douglas Murray trade
  • The Winipeg Jets pick will go to the Minnesota Wild as part of the Devin Setoguchi trade
  • Edmonton Oilers pick will go to the St Louis Blues as part of the David Perron trade

Third round

Fourth round

  • The Anaheim Ducks pick will go to the Washington Capitals as part of the Mathieu Perreault trade
  • The Phoenix Coyotes pick will go to the Toronto Maple Leafs as part of the Matthew Lombardi trade
  • The Buffalo Sabres pick will go to the Minnesota Wild as part of the Jason Pominville trade
  • The Edmonton Oilers pick will go to the Chicago Blackhawks as part of both the Dave Bolland and Mike Brown trades
  • The New Jersey Devils pick will go to the Winnipeg Jets as part of the Alexei Ponikarovsky trade
  • The San Jose Sharks pick will go to the Edmonton Oilers as part of the Mike Brown trade
  • The Philadelphia Flyers pick will go to the New York Islanders as part of the Mark Streit trade
  • The St Louis Blues pick will go to the Nashville Predators as part of a trade for picks
  • The Tampa Bay Lightning’s pick will go to the St Louis Blues as part of the B.J. Crombeen trade
  • The Toronto Maple Leafs pick will go to the Colorado Avalanche as part of the Ryan O’Byrne trade
  • The Vancouver Canucks pick will go to the Carolina Hurricanes as part of the Zac Dalpe and Jeremy Welsh trade

Fifth round

  • The Anaheim Ducks pick will go to the Pittsburgh Penguins as part of the Ben Lovejoy trade
  • The Florida Panthers pick will go to the New York Rangers as part of the Casey Wellman trade
  • The San Jose Sharks pick will go to the Chicago Blackhawks as part of a trade for picks
  • The St Louis Blues pick will go to the Tampa Bay Lightning as part of the B.J. Crombeen trade
  • The New York Rangers pick will go to the San Jose Sharks as part of the Ryan Clowe trade
  • Calgary Flames pick will go to the St Louis Blues as part of the Kris Russell trade

Sixth round

  • The Boston Bruins pick will go to the St Louis Blue as part of the Wade Redden trade
  • The Carolina Hurricanes pick will go to the Los Angeles Kings as part of the Kevin Westgarth and Anthony Stewart trade
  • The Columbus Blue Jackets pick will go to the Minnesota Wild as part of both the Marian Gaborik and Justin Falk trades
  • The Ottawa Senators pick will go to the Minnesota Wild as part of the Matt Kassian trade
  • The Florida Panthers pick will go to the New Jersey Devils as part of the Krys Barch trade

Seventh round

  • The Anaheim Ducks pick will go to the Toronto Maple Leafs as part of the David Steckel trade
  • The New Jersey Devils pick will go to the Phoenix Coyotes as part of the Steve Sullivan trade
  • The San Jose Sharks pick will go to the Detroit Red Wings as part of the Brad Stuart trade

Conditional draft picks / trades

  • Round 1: The Buffalo Sabres will get  the New York Islanders first rond pick in 2014 or 2015. If the Islanders get a top 10 pick in 2014, they can chose to let the first rounder be in 2015 instead, but if they finish outside top 10 it will remain in 2014
  • Round 2: The Los Angeles Kings will get Toronto Maple Leafs second-round pick in 2014 or 2015 as part of the Jonathan Bernier trade. Maple Leafs can decide if it will be in 2014 or 2015.
  • Round 3-4: The Toronto Maple Leafs will get the Calgary Flames third or fourth round pick as part of the Joe Colborne trade. If Colborne scores 10 goals or get 35 points in 2013/2014 and the Flames make it to the playoffs it will be a third round pick.
  • Round 7: The Minnesota Wild will get the Washington Capitals pick depending on how many games Chay Genoway plays
  • Round 7: The San Jose Sharks will get New York Rangers pick for unknown conditions as part of the Tommy Grant trade
