Mora’s defenseman Mikael Wikstrand has been one of the best players in HockeyAllsvenskan this season, and according to a report from SportExpressen and MrMadhawk he could join Frölunda in the next couple of days. Before this season many thought Wikstrand would join a team in the SHL, but he wanted to stay one more season with More to develop as a player. The head coach in Frölunda is Roger Rönnberg, who was Sweden’s head coach in WJC last year, where Wikstrand played an excellent tournament. That could have a positive influence on a possible transfer.
20-year-old Wikstrand has played 26 games for Mora this season, and has recorded 19 points. He is drafted by the Ottawa Senators.
