Ian White on his way to Traktor Chelyabinsk?

Candadian defenseman Ian White didn’t get an offer from a NHL club this offseason, so he signed with Genève-Servette HC in Switzerland. However he has not played a game for the Swiss club and according to a report from Rsport.ru he could now instead sign a contract with Traktor Chelyabinsk in the KHL.

If White moves to the KHL Traktor Chelyabinsk would have to pay Genève-Servette HC a transfer fee, since they have his players rights.

29-year-old White played 25 games for the Detroit Red Wings last season, and collected 4 points. He has during his NHL career played in 503 regular season games and 22 playoff games.
