32-year-old Czech forward Radim Vrbata is in his last year of his current contract with the Phoenix Coyotes, and he has a cap hit of $ 3 million. According to a report by Bruce Garrioch in the Ottawa Sun the Coyotes general manager Don Maloney has been recieving calls about Vrbata, and he might get move before the deadline. Nothing is imminent but Maloney wants to get a better idea if he is able to re-sign Vrbata to a contract extension.
Vrbata has played 49 games this season, and has collected 12 goals and 24 assists. He was originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in 1999, in the 7th round 212nd overall.
